USA Lacks in Public Transit

Recently I was in Geneva and managed to conduct most of my business using public transit. I was impressed by the available options and the network of coverage in and around the City and also to France and other parts of Switzerland. In comparison, most of the smaller US cities lack good, affordable public transit, forcing visitors and residents to use personal automobiles. Lack of civic sense is the root cause for not channeling public funds to public transit projects. High gasoline prices should result in new thinking amongst us all.
